Job summary

Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital seeks a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect specimens for diagnostic testing in a fast-paced hospital and clinics setting. You will perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swabs while adhering to safety and laboratory standards.

You will interact with patients and families empathetically, participate in CODE response teams, assist in training, and support specimen processing and other lab duties as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred.
• Six months phlebotomy experience, training or national certification as approved by manager.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing while maintaining a professional environment.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swabs with proper safety.
• Adhere to PPE standards and laboratory compliance and safety regulations.
• Communicate procedures clearly with patients and family while showing empathy.
• Support patient registration, CODE response participation, and training of new staff.
