Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a part-time shift in Babylon, NY, Saturdays from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The role involves collecting specimens and supporting laboratory operations with accuracy and care.

The position requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy training; certification is preferred. You will use lab technology systems and enter data accurately, while maintaining professional communication in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
