Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Spring Hill, FL, is seeking a Phlebotomist I to support specimen collection and client services. Schedule includes Mon Tue Thu Fri 5:30 AM–2:30 PM and Sat 6:00 AM–11:00 AM, with a pay range of $20.00+ per hour. Position offers growth and bonus opportunities as part of a broad benefits program.

The role focuses on accurate specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to procedures, contributing to high-quality diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens following established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab tech systems and client contacts.
• Enter data accurately and navigate computer systems.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and statistics.
• Complete online and in person trainings timely.
