Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Southgate, MI. The role requires collecting specimens, handling test orders, and maintaining accurate data entry. Training will be provided, and the candidate should be able to communicate effectively in English.

The position may involve routine phlebotomy and customer-facing activities, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adherence to departmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Keyboard/data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders and enter data in lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and billing processes accurately.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
