Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Los Angeles, CA. The role runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with rotational weekends and pays $24.00–$25.70 per hour. A state phlebotomy license is required; NHA licenses are not accepted in CA, WA, NV.

Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus based on factors including skills, experience and results. The position emphasizes accurate specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington .

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, and filing.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
