Responsibilities

• The phlebotomist collects blood and other specimens at the hospital and at outpatient draw sites.
• May provide administrative support to technical staff per established protocol, while exhibiting service excellence standards of behavior at all times.
• The phlebotomist at outpatient draw sites may register patients and specimens for lab testing, receive outpatients, and enter laboratory information system data.
