Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist I for the Charleston, SC location. The role involves collecting blood samples, labeling and handling specimens, and ensuring proper transport per protocols.

The ideal candidate has a valid Phlebotomy certification, at least 1 year of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, and a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency with MS Office is also expected.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum 1 year venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing phlebotomy duties and related workflow improvements.
• Experience with blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and data maintenance.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures; explain venipuncture process to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens; label, centrifuge, and package for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and label containers accurately.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
