Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a Clinical Laboratory client in Charlotte, NC. The role involves collecting specimens, labeling and processing blood draws, and ensuring specimen integrity through proper transport and handling.

The candidate should have experience performing venipunctures in a busy lab environment, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience handling specimens, labeling, centrifuging and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Match requisitions to specimens and label, centrifuge, split and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol.
• Ensure test requisitions and labels match accurately.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; answer inquiries as needed.
