Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I for the Milton, FL location. The role runs Monday through Friday with hours from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM and rotational weekends. Pays at least $20.00 per hour with eligibility for annual bonus compensation based on performance and factors.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing samples, data entry, and maintaining accurate logs. Education includes a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred and one year of phlebotomy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
