Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist I for Crestview, FL. The role operates Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with rotating weekends.

The pay starts at $20.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package designed to support health, finances, and development. Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, order verification, and handling non-patient duties such as inventory and logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately; this is required.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related maintenance/temperature logs.
• Complete training courses online and in person timely.
