Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist I to perform venipuncture and capillary collections with a focus on patient comfort and specimen integrity. You will follow lab procedures and safety guidelines while providing excellent service to patients and doctors.

Responsibilities include accurate labeling, proper specimen transport, and collaboration with laboratory teams. Prior experience in a fast-paced lab environment is preferred, and certification in phlebotomy is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NPA, AMT, NHA or equivalent).
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use laboratory information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all ages.
• Ensure correct processing and labeling of specimens.
• Follow safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Deliver specimens to the laboratory promptly and accurately.
• Assist in training new staff or students as needed.
