Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Piketon, OH, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves collecting specimens, processing samples, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy training or certification is preferred, with CA/NV/WA exceptions noted. One year of phlebotomy experience and strong data-entry skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is beneficial.
• Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders and enter data using lab systems and client tools.
• Identify patients correctly and enter billing information; collect payments as needed.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones).
• Follow departmental policies and document statistics and logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
