Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Piketon, OH is hiring a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and support patient care in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pay range starting at $20.00 per hour and the possibility of performance bonuses.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; medical training is preferred; phlebotomy certification is preferred (where required); one year of phlebotomy experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (where required).
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• English communication ability required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per procedures (drug screens, etc.).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client data.
• Enter data accurately on a computer.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info as needed.
• Label, centrifuge, aliquot, and prepare specimens.
• Handle non-patient duties: inventory, cleaning, phones, emails.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with data/statistics submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and records.
• Complete online and in-person training promptly.
