Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Delaware, OH, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends. The role includes collecting specimens, processing tests, and ensuring accurate order verification using lab systems.

A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred, with some states requiring it. A performance bonus may be offered based on results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communication.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
