Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Anderson, CA is hiring a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens, process samples, and support patient services. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.

A state phlebotomy license is required, and a phlebotomy certification is preferred where applicable. Salary ranges from $21.80 to $23.75 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonuses based on performance and market factors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test orders and enter data using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
