Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Springfield, OR is seeking a Phlebotomist I to work Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:30, with rotational weekends. The role involves collecting specimens, validating orders, entering data, and preparing samples for transport, with a starting pay range of $21.80+ per hour.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy training or certification is preferred. One year of phlebotomy experience and strong customer service skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in some states.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, etc.).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders and enter data using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
