Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Penn Hills, PA, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekend rotation. The role involves collecting specimens, documenting orders, and handling billing information while maintaining logs and following procedures.

Requires high school diploma; medical training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA/NV/WA). 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred; strong customer service and data-entry skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders and client information using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
