Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Natrona Heights, PA is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with rotational weekends. The role collects specimens, processes tests, and handles data entry in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

High school diploma required; phlebotomy certification preferred and relevant medical training encouraged. Prior phlebotomy and customer service experience are valued for patient interactions and operational duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify tests and client information using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies.
• Complete online and in-person training in a timely manner.
