Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Anderson, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens and perform related tasks in a Monday–Friday schedule with weekend rotation. The role requires a state phlebotomy license where applicable, and offers a pay range of $21.80–$23.75 per hour with potential performance bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and processing, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance, temperature).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
