Requirements include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in CA, NV, WA). One year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or training is preferred.
• Experience with data entry and computer systems is expected.
• Customer service experience is a plus for interactions with clients.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders and enter data using lab systems.
• Navigate computers and enter information accurately.
• Obtain IDs and enter billing information as required.
• Prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, etc.).
• Perform non-patient-facing duties (inventory, phones, emails).
• Read and follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compiling statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance and temperature) timely.
• Complete training courses in a timely manner.
