This Is What You’ll Do
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (FDA, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high standards and facility compliance.
- Provide high-quality customer service and ensure a positive donor experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Review and confirm donor identification, maintaining confidentiality.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
- Label units and samples accurately.
- Perform venipunctures and plasma collection safely and effectively.
- Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, responding to alarms and alerts.
- Monitor donor conditions to ensure safety and quality of plasma.
- Handle biohazardous waste and equipment cleaning following safety protocols.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Manage inventory and replenish supplies.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform quality controls.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
What It Takes
- High school diploma or GED.
- State-specific certifications or licenses as required.
- Minimum three months’ experience in healthcare or related education.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform venipunctures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
