This Is What You’ll Do
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations (e.g., FDA, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high standards and facility compliance.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and a positive donor experience.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Verify donor identification and maintain confidentiality according to SOPs.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Label all units and samples accurately.
  • Perform venipunctures and plasma collection adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms, and document incidents.
  • Monitor donor conditions to ensure safety and plasma quality.
  • Disconnect donors, dispose of biohazardous waste, and clean spills following safety protocols.
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Manage inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Mentor Phlebotomist I and assist in training and compliance efforts.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms and perform quality controls routinely.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance for performance improvements.
  • Assist with storage organization and other assigned tasks.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses as per state requirements.
  • At least 3 months of experience in healthcare or related education preferred.
  • Ability to work independently after training.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Accurate documentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret safety and operational documents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle interruptions.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
