Description/Comment: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, assisting with health routines and providing insights into health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures. They establish trust with patients, explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor.
2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
3. Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established practices.
4. Keep required records and documentation up-to-date.
5. Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment to patients, clients, and the public.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Minimum of 6 months of experience; 1+ years preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry skills required.
