Job summary

ProMedica Arrowhead Medical Center Laboratory is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist. You will collect specimens, perform pre-analytic tasks (centrifugation, packaging) and support testing while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a phlebotomy diploma or 6 months phlebotomy experience; 6 months in a high-volume setting is preferred. Professional registration (PBT/ASCP) is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy training diploma or 6 months phlebotomy experience
• 6 months experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment (≈30 draws/day) or completed clinical rotation with 100 venipunctures

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and participate in testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Perform pre-analytic tasks: centrifugation, decanting, specimen distribution and packaging
• Follow aseptic/ antiseptic principles and use QA data to improve procedures
• Assist in training new associates or students
