Job summary

Labcorp in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation.

The role requires a phlebotomy certification and at least 3 years' experience; travel to additional sites as needed; strong customer service and communication skills; and the ability to pass a color vision test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
