Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Athens, GA team. You will perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide superior patient service in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am–12:00pm with rotating Saturdays. Benefits, career growth opportunities, and PST incentive plan may apply. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification; 2+ years experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from an accredited agency can substitute work experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to work independently or in a team; flexible with overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
