Job summary

Labcorp in Cumming, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, enter patient information accurately, and support specimen processing across patient service centers and client offices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and 3+ years of phlebotomy experience; 5+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
