Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our day shift team. This role collects blood specimens from patients of all ages, labels samples, and ensures specimen integrity while delivering timely results to the lab and care teams.

You will provide superior customer service to nursing units and physician offices, assist with specimen processing and entry in the EMR, and help maintain inventory and a clean phlebotomy cart. Exemption: none; benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Blood collection experience and patient care focus.
• Ability to label and track specimens accurately.
• Familiarity with EMR lab modules and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy duties and collects specimens from patients of all ages.
• Labels specimens completely and matches patient IDs using multiple identifiers.
• Maintains specimen integrity (ice, temperature, centrifugation as needed).
• Processes orders and delivers specimens to the correct lab sections.
• Provides customer service support to nursing units and physicians offices.
