Job summary

KVH is seeking a Lab Support role to perform sample collection, test ordering, processing specimens and Point of Care testing. Travel between KVH locations may be required.

Requirements include High School Diploma, WA MA-P or MA-C license (or CLIA-on-the-job path with MA-P within 6 months) and current BLS. Benefits eligible; wage range provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• WA MA-P or MA-C license (maintenance required) OR completion of a CLIA Lab Director approved program with MA-P certification within 6 months.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Sample collections, ordering tests, scheduling, and processing laboratory specimens.
• Performance of Point of Care and waived testing; clerical/reception duties in lab.
• Register patients and obtain x-ray images if in a clinic; travel among KVH locations.

Qualifications

What is required...

• High School Diploma
• Current Washington State MA-P or MA-C license (maintenance required) OR completion of a CLIA Lab Director approved on the job training program with MA-P certification obtained within 6 months of hire
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card (maintenance required)

What Is Preferred...

• Valid WA State Driver’s License (may be required)
• Valid auto liability insurance (may be required)
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist
• ASCP Certification

Additional Information

Wage: Wage range currently starts at $20.61/hour and goes up to $31.24/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) Benefits: This position is benefits eligible Union Status: This is a non-union covered position
