Job Title: Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Shift: Monday - Thursday: 8a - 5p
Friday: 8a - 3p

Summary

The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company, engaging with patients during their health routines and supporting critical health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

The Phlebotomist III Float interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and ensuring a safe, skillful, and accurate blood draw. The role requires coverage at multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities across various settings are completed accurately and timely.

This position demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Successful candidates may work in doctors' offices, patient service centers, long-term care, or in-home settings, and must be capable of leading and mentoring other staff members.

The role may also involve working with high-complexity practices requiring advanced phlebotomy skills, excellent customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration across multiple functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting is essential.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic preferred)
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington)

Work Experience

• At least five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Minimum of 3 years in a PSCIOP environment (preferred)
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments (preferred)
• Keyboard/data entry experience
