Job summary

LabCorp in San Marcos, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to perform blood collections across multiple clinics. You will travel to sites as needed and ensure accurate patient data entry with strong customer service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a California CPT license. Preferred: 1+ year phlebotomy experience, LabCorp familiarity, and bilingual Spanish/English; benefits include comprehensive medical plans and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• In lieu of state license, an application for a phlebotomy license may meet requirements at hire.
• 6+ months phlebotomist experience with geriatrics/pediatrics (preferred).
• Be at least 21 years old; valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients; travel to additional sites as needed.
