True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Winston-Salem, NC and area. The role is float, covering locations in the area with mileage expense paid.

Schedule: M-F 5am-6pm, 8-hour shifts. Duration: 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, labeling specimens, centrifuging, recording maintenance data, and updating patient information, while complying with OSHA/DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Ensure accuracy of test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
