Aspire Talent Solutions seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity in Winston-Salem, NC and surrounding area. This float position covers locations in the region and has an estimated duration of 3 months with potential for permanent hire. A valid phlebotomy certification and a clean driving record are required.

The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling and processing, and adherence to established procedures in a fast-paced lab. Mileage is paid and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens, label and record data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Follow test orders, match requisitions, and properly label and centrifuge specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures and protocols.
• Comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
