Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float for West Taft Road in Liverpool, NY. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across ages, with precise data entry and specimen handling.

The schedule runs Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays; pay is $18–$21 per hour plus a $1.00/hr incentive. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with prior phlebotomy experience preferred and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Phlebotomist Float – West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:45am-5:30pm and rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

Pay Range

• $18.00- $21.00 per hour

Float Incentive

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
