Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at 5112 W Taft Rd in Liverpool, NY.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30AM-4:30PM (Varied), Rotating Saturday 8:00AM-12:00PM.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• At least 21 years old.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 - $21.00 per hour.

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan.

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, as well as Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees, are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
