Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Central Suffolk County, NY, with locations in Bay Shore, Deer Park, Holbrok, Islip, Islandia, Sayville, Smithtown and Stony Brook. The position involves venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to various sites.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preference for 1+ year of phlebotomy experience. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Central Suffolk County, NY.

The locations will vary in Bay Shore, Deer Park, Holbrok, Islip, Islandia, Sayville, Smithtown and Stonybrook.

Neck Work Schedule: Monday – Sunday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am- 4:00pm

Job Responsibilities

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

• Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive:

Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
