Job Overview

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float to join our team in Florence, SC.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a Phlebotomy training program, or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience or more with all age groups.

Additional Job Standards

• Proof of phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may substitute for work experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be 21 years old.

Benefits

• Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
• Potential eligibility for PST Incentive Plan with quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
