Job summary

Labcorp in Florence, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a Patient Service Center on a per diem basis. You will perform skilled specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and be the face of Labcorp while supporting growth within the organization.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary collections, data entry, and travel to other sites as needed. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy training or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist.

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Florence, SC.

Work Schedule:

This is a Per Diem/Casual position and hours will be as needed on Monday and Thursday based upon business needs, not to exceed 19 hours per week

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
