LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings is seeking a Phlebotomist Float in Charlotte, NC. You will perform blood collections, process billing, and provide exceptional customer service.

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 7:00pm with occasional weekends; hours vary by location.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform accurate, timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or at least 3months of experience as a phlebotomist.
• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist (preferred).
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Incentives and Benefits

• Float Incentive: Additional $1.00hr plus mileage reimbursement.
• Phlebotomists may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
• Employees with 20+hours per week receive comprehensive benefits—Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees scheduled less than 20hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule receive all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
