Labcorp Phlebotomist Float – Chevy Chase, MD

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care.

Location and Schedule

Location: Chevy Chase, MD and surrounding areas.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 6:30pm (hours vary); every other Saturday 7:30am – 11:00am.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or a completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Ability to pass a standardized color–blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Travel to additional sites as required.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements.

Vaccination Requirement

This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19. Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID‑19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.

Pay and Incentives

• Pay Range: $17.75 – $26.00 per hour.
• Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.
• Sign‑On Bonus: $1,500.00 (external applicants only).
