Position: Float Phlebotomist

This role offers the opportunity to gain diverse experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and are looking for growth within the organization.

Work Details

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, hours vary (6:00am - 7:00pm); every other Saturday (7am - 2pm)
• Location: Baltimore County, MD
• Pay Range: $15.00 - $26.00 per hour
• Additional Compensation: $1.00/hr float incentive plus mileage reimbursement
• Sign-on Bonus: $1,500 (excluding active Labcorp employees)

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
2. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
3. Accurately enter patient data and process billing when required.
4. Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
5. Provide excellent customer service.
6. Perform administrative duties and travel as needed.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• Preferred: 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience working with pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Reliable transportation; ability to pass color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
