Job summary

Summit Health seeks a full-time Phlebotomist Float to support our NJ clinical lab office locations. Expect shifting hours 6:30am–5pm with rotating weekends; travel to satellite sites as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, a HS diploma, and phlebotomy certification preferred. Knowledge of LIS and HIPAA is essential; multitasking in a fast-paced setting is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience; drug screen collection preferred.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy at NJ satellite locations.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred; may be required by location.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and medical terminology.
• Attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood using aseptic technique.
• Process Stat specimens per SOP.
• Prepare collection containers and provide home collection instructions.
• Collect and document results in LIS.
• Travel to NJ satellite locations as needed.
• Train new staff on lab policies and procedures.
