Job summary

Memorial Blood Centers in Duluth is seeking a phlebotomist to support donor screening, blood collection, and exceptional customer service at fixed donor centers or mobile drives across the Duluth area.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered along with comprehensive benefits and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license required.
Local travel with reliable transportation to work assignments.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
Preferred phlebotomy, nursing assistant, medical assistant, EMT or related coursework.

Responsibilities

Assess and document vitals of presenting donors to determine eligibility.
Perform blood collection (phlebotomy) in accordance with policies and safety procedures.
Provide excellent customer service and pre/post donation care as needed.
Assist with setup of community blood drives including loading/unloading of mobile units.
Perform cleaning tasks, including equipment cleaning.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation to prevent loss of units.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
