St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist for PRN and varied shifts. You will perform high-quality specimen collection and support laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient samples across the medical center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification (CPT) or health-related experience preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Typing and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection using proper technique and age-appropriate devices.
• Ensure safe handling and proper collection methods to maintain specimen integrity.
• Labeling, accessioning, and delivering specimens to the appropriate department.
• Maintain the Laboratory Information System (LIS) data for specimen collection.
• Assist with patient registration for courier specimens.
• Respond promptly to STAT, ASAP, NOW, and outpatient collection requests.
