Aufgaben

• Collect blood samples from inpatients in a timely manner.
• Identify patients using verbal confirmation and positive ID systems.
• Perform venipunctures and/or skin punctures using aseptic technique.
• Label specimens immediately after collection and complete required documentation.
• Receive specimens in the computer and route to the correct department.
• Monitor inventory and assist with re-ordering supplies as needed.
