Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• 6+ months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience drawing blood, labeling and handling specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Match requisitions to specimens, label, centrifuge and freeze as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store per temperature guidelines.
