Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Catonsville, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and support the lab with accurate data entry. Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 1 year of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles.
Fully understands physicians' orders and matches requisitions to tubes.
Packages specimens for transport and maintains specimen integrity per protocol.
Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
Answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
