Responsibilities

• Assist in performing assigned duties, troubleshoot and make workflow recommendations.
• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and decontaminate as required.
• Collect and store specimens according to procedures; explain venipuncture clearly.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Match requisitions to specimens and package for transport.
• Store samples at required temperatures and ensure transport integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and read lab results to respond to inquiries.
