Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, labeling, and specimen handling at our Owasso, OK site. The role is a contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire, scheduled Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

The assignment is projected for 3 months with potential for perm and benefits are available. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, labeling and processing per protocol, ensuring OSHA/DEP compliance, and assisting in training and workflow

Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification as required by state regulations.
6+ months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
Comply with physicians' orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.
Understand OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
Answer calls and relay lab results as needed.
