Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Farmville, VA for approximately 3 months with potential for permanent hire. Must have a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Primary duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data entry, and proper transport of specimens per protocol and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. High School Diploma or GED

Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and match requisition forms to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to temperature requirements.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read results to respond to inquiries.
